Rental Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before completing your booking. By checking the acknowledgment box and completing payment, you agree to be legally bound by these terms.

1. Definitions

  • “Company” means Philly Custom DJ, operating meetmybooth.com, located in Cherry Hill, NJ 08003.
  • “Customer” or “you” means the individual who completes and submits a booking through meetmybooth.com.
  • “Equipment” means the iPad photo booth, including the iPad device, stand, ring light, and all associated components, valued at $5,000.
  • “Rental Period” begins when you take possession of the Equipment (at pickup or upon delivery) and ends when the Equipment is returned to and received by the Company.
  • “Rental Date” means the date of your event as specified in your booking.
  • “Self-Pickup” means you collect the Equipment from Cherry Hill, NJ and return it yourself.
  • “Home Delivery” means the Company delivers the Equipment to your home address and retrieves it after your event.

2. Booking & Payment

2.1 Booking Process

All bookings are completed through meetmybooth.com. Your booking is confirmed only after full payment is received and you have received a written confirmation email from the Company. The Company reserves the right to decline any booking at its sole discretion.

2.2 Payment

Payment is due in full at the time of booking. No rental period will commence and no Equipment will be dispatched or made available for pickup until payment has been received in full. All prices are in US dollars and do not include applicable state or local sales tax, which will be calculated and itemized at checkout.

2.3 Package Selection

Customers select a base rental type (Self-Pickup or Home Delivery) and optional add-ons at the time of booking. Pricing for each option is displayed on the Site. The Company reserves the right to update pricing at any time; the price displayed at the time your booking is confirmed is the price you will pay.

3. Rental Period & Return

3.1 Self-Pickup

Self-Pickup customers collect the Equipment from Cherry Hill, NJ 08003 the day before the Rental Date and must return it by 12:00 PM (noon) on the first business day after the Rental Date. Failure to return the Equipment by this deadline constitutes a breach of these Terms.

3.2 Weekend Rental (Self-Pickup Add-On)

Customers who add the Weekend Rental option may keep the Equipment from Friday through Monday, returning it by 12:00 PM on Monday. The Weekend Rental fee is in addition to the base rental fee.

3.3 Home Delivery

The Company will deliver the Equipment to your home address the day before your Rental Date. Home delivery is available within a 20-mile radius of Cherry Hill, NJ 08003. Delivery to venues, event spaces, hotels, or commercial addresses is not available. The Company will retrieve the Equipment from your home address within 48 hours after your Rental Date. You are responsible for keeping the Equipment secure at your home from the time of delivery until the Company retrieves it.

3.4 Late Returns

If Equipment is not returned or made available for Company retrieval by the applicable deadline, the Company may charge a late fee of $75.00 per day until the Equipment is returned. Continued failure to return Equipment may be treated as conversion and reported to appropriate authorities.

4. Customer Responsibility for Equipment

This is the most important section of these Terms. Please read it carefully.

You are fully responsible for the Equipment from the moment it comes into your possession until it is returned to and accepted by the Company.

4.1 Scope of Responsibility

You are responsible for any and all damage to, loss of, or theft of the Equipment that occurs during the Rental Period, regardless of cause. This includes damage caused by:

  • Accidental drops, spills, or impacts
  • Guests at your event
  • Adverse conditions (weather, temperature, humidity) due to improper storage or use
  • Theft from your home, vehicle, or event venue
  • Any other cause while the Equipment is in your possession

4.2 Equipment Valuation

The Equipment is valued at $5,000.00. In the event of damage, loss, or theft, you agree to pay the Company for the cost of repair or replacement, up to $5,000.00, within 14 days of written demand from the Company.

4.3 Condition on Return

You must return the Equipment in the same condition as when you received it, ordinary wear and tear excepted. All original components, cables, cases, and accessories must be returned. Missing accessories will be charged at replacement cost.

4.4 Damage Reporting

If the Equipment is damaged during your Rental Period, you must notify the Company immediately by contacting adam@phillycustomdj.com or by phone. Do not attempt to repair the Equipment yourself.

5. Permitted & Prohibited Use

5.1 Indoor Use Only

The Equipment is for indoor use only. Operating temperature must be maintained between 50°F and 100°F. The Equipment must never be exposed to direct sunlight, moisture, rain, or humidity outside the range of 30%–80%. Use of the Equipment outdoors, in tents open to the elements, or in any environment where temperature and humidity cannot be controlled is prohibited and constitutes a breach of these Terms. You will be responsible for any resulting damage.

5.2 Prohibited Uses

You may not:

  • Sublet, loan, or transfer the Equipment to any third party without prior written consent from the Company
  • Remove any markings, stickers, or identification labels from the Equipment
  • Attempt to modify, repair, or tamper with the Equipment
  • Use the Equipment for any commercial purpose other than as agreed in your booking
  • Allow unsupervised children to operate the Equipment
  • Use the Equipment in a manner that violates any applicable federal, state, or local law

5.3 Guest Use

You may permit guests at your event to use the Equipment under your supervision. You are wholly and solely responsible for any damage caused by your guests.

6. Custom Backdrop Design

6.1 Lead Time Requirement

If you have added the Custom Backdrop Design add-on, your booking must be placed at least 7 days before your Rental Date. Bookings with custom backdrop add-ons placed less than 7 days in advance may be cancelled and refunded at the Company's discretion.

6.2 Design Process

After booking, you will receive a design brief form to complete. The Company will create your custom backdrop design and deliver a preview to you for approval. You have 48 hours from delivery of the preview to submit one round of revision requests. After revision, the design is final. The Company reserves the right to decline design requests that are offensive, infringing on third-party intellectual property, or otherwise inappropriate.

6.3 Intellectual Property

By submitting design brief materials (logos, images, text), you represent and warrant that you have the right to use those materials. The Company retains no ownership of custom backdrop designs created for your event.

7. Cancellation & Refund Policy

7.1 Customer Cancellation

Cancellations must be submitted in writing to adam@phillycustomdj.com. The following refund schedule applies:

  • Cancellation before the Rental Period begins: 50% refund of the total booking amount
  • Cancellation on the Rental Date (day-of): No refund. You may reschedule to one available future date at no additional charge (see Section 7.3)
  • No-show (failure to pick up or failure to respond to delivery): No refund. No reschedule credit.

7.2 Company Cancellation

The Company reserves the right to cancel any booking in the event of equipment failure, unavailability, or circumstances beyond the Company's reasonable control. In such cases, the Customer will receive a full refund of all amounts paid.

7.3 Rescheduling

Customers who cancel on the Rental Date (day-of) are entitled to one free reschedule to a future available date. Rescheduling must be requested within 30 days of the original Rental Date. The rescheduled date is subject to Equipment availability. If no suitable date is available, no refund will be issued.

7.4 No Refunds After Rental Period Begins

Once the Rental Period has begun (Equipment has been picked up or delivered), no refunds will be issued for any reason, including but not limited to dissatisfaction with the Equipment, technical issues attributable to customer setup error, or event cancellation.

8. Technical Issues & Support

8.1 Company Obligations

The Company will deliver Equipment that has been tested and configured for your event. The Lumabooth software will be pre-loaded with your selected settings, virtual backdrops, and preferences as specified in your booking portal.

8.2 Customer Troubleshooting

In the event of a technical issue during your event, contact the Company immediately at adam@phillycustomdj.com. The Company will make reasonable efforts to provide remote troubleshooting support.

8.3 Limitation of Liability for Technical Issues

The Company's liability for technical issues is limited to a partial refund at the Company's sole discretion. The Company is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from Equipment malfunction, including but not limited to loss of event memories, guest dissatisfaction, or costs incurred in connection with the event.

9. Delivery Area & Logistics

9.1 Home Delivery Radius

Home delivery is available within a 20-mile radius of Cherry Hill, NJ 08003. The Company does not deliver to locations outside this radius. Customers outside the delivery area may use the Self-Pickup option.

9.2 Delivery Address Requirements

You must provide a valid residential street address at the time of booking. The Company will not deliver to P.O. boxes, hotels, or event venues. You or a responsible adult must be present to accept delivery.

9.3 Delivery Confirmation

You will receive a confirmation of your scheduled delivery window in advance of your Rental Date. It is your responsibility to ensure someone is present to receive the Equipment.

10. Privacy & Photo Gallery

10.1 Guest Photos

Photos taken by your guests using the Equipment are synced to a private gallery on fotoshare.co associated with your booking. You will receive a gallery link after your event. The Company does not retain or use guest photos for any commercial purpose without your express written consent.

10.2 Guest Disclaimer

If you enable the guest disclaimer/waiver screen in your booking portal preferences, you are responsible for ensuring the disclaimer text is accurate and appropriate for your event. The Company is not responsible for the legal sufficiency of any disclaimer text you configure.

10.3 Privacy Policy

The Company collects and processes personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy, available at meetmybooth.com. By completing a booking, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described therein.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Company shall not be liable for any indirect, special, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages arising out of or related to these Terms or the rental of the Equipment, including but not limited to loss of event memories, loss of enjoyment, or costs related to your event.

The Company's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms shall not exceed the total rental fees paid by you for the applicable booking.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Company and its owners, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Equipment; (b) any breach of these Terms by you; (c) any damage to the Equipment during the Rental Period; (d) any claims by your guests arising from their use of the Equipment; or (e) any violation of applicable law by you or your guests.

13. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved first through good-faith negotiation between the parties. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be subject to binding arbitration in Camden County, New Jersey, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking emergency injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.

14. Miscellaneous

14.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with your booking confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Company with respect to the rental of the Equipment and supersede all prior agreements, representations, and understandings.

14.2 Modifications

The Company reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. The Terms in effect at the time your booking is confirmed govern your rental. Updated Terms apply to new bookings only.

14.3 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

14.4 Waiver

The Company's failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.

Customer Acknowledgment

By completing your booking on meetmybooth.com, you confirm that:

  1. You have read and understood these Rental Terms & Conditions in their entirety.
  2. You agree to be legally bound by these Terms.
  3. You understand that you are fully responsible for the Equipment (valued at $5,000) from the time it comes into your possession until it is returned to the Company.
  4. You understand that the Equipment is for indoor use only and accept responsibility for any damage resulting from outdoor or improper use.
  5. You have the authority to enter into this agreement on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, any organization you represent.

This acknowledgment is captured electronically at the time of booking, including your email address, booking ID, and timestamp. It constitutes a legally binding agreement.
